B Lab、「東のシリコンバレー」インド・プネにB Lab Puneを設置！

B Lab（iUの研究所、所長 石戸奈々子。以下、B Lab）は、インド南西部に位置するマハラシュトラ州の州都・プネにB Lab Puneを設置します。プネは学術都市としてIT産業を中心に目覚ましい発展を遂げており、近年は「東のシリコンバレー」といわれています。また、教育や研究の中心地としても知られ、毎年多くの優秀なITエンジニアを世界に送り出しています。日本からもIT・通信、金融などの企業が進出しているプネにおいて、B Lab Puneは、インドに興味のある方々や進出を検討している研究員を支援し、同時に企業間の交流プラットフォームの構築やマッチングの機会を提供します。

B Lab (iU’ research institution, Director: Nanako Ishido) establishes B Lab Pune in Pune, the capital of Maharashtra state located in southwest India. Pune has experienced remarkable development, particularly in the IT industry, and is often referred to as the “Silicon Valley of the East” in recent years. It is also renowned as a hub for education and research, annually producing numerous talented IT engineers who contribute globally. With Japanese companies also expanding into Pune in sectors such as IT, telecommunications, and finance, B Lab Pune aims to support researchers interested in or considering expansion into India, while simultaneously providing opportunities for building exchange platforms and facilitating matchmaking between companies.

Fumio Moriuchi, Managing Director of Talisman Corporation, and David Masi, Director of NexTA Executive Search have been appointed as the organizers of B Lab Pune.
